nZEB in Cold/Continental climates
Taskforce Coordinator
Gbv is the Austrian Federation of Limited Profit Housing Associations representing both cooperatives and capital companies owning and managing 550.000 rental dwellings and 240.000 owner occupied dwellings. Gbv also manages 35.000 rental dwellings for municipalities representing about 20% of the total Austrian housing stock.
Austria is in leading position in terms of density of very low energy housing. More than 6.000 dwellings in very low energy house building have been realised within the last 10 years, amongst those are nearly 4.000 dwellings in multi-family buildings. Because of the forerunner status of the region in which it operates, Gbv has been chosen to lead the exchange on very low energy house technologies with an emphasis on sharing experience on costs and training, quality assurance, experience in maintenance of very low energy house systems and monitoring of energy consumption.
Objectives of the Taskforce
