“POWER HOUSE nZEC! First Symposium: CECODHAS Housing Europe meets Solar Decathlon Europe 2012” - 26 September 2012, Madrid, Spain

The task of future proofing homes for European citizens is being taken in hand by CECODHAS Housing Europe members. Public, Cooperative and Social Housing providers are working to balancing social and ecological challenges; the sector must innovate - it must identify ways to save money during the construction or rebuilding process and to look for innovative approaches, concepts and building techniques which make the realisation of nearly-Zero Energy Buildings both simpler and cheaper.
This conference, organised in the framework of the POWER HOUSE nearly-Zero Energy Challenge! initiative in cooperation with Solar Decathlon Europe aimed at facilitating this process by providing a table for discussions and concrete examples from the 2012 “Decathletes”.
