“Energy Performance: a European advantage?" - 25 May 2010, Paris, France

A conference by the Union Sociale pour l’Habitat gathered three workshops with a common theme: “Energy Performance: a European advantage?” on May 25th in Paris.

The conference gave the opportunity to members of the French federation to exchange about their experiences on European funds and their future.

The Union Sociale pour l’Habitat invited speakers from Germany (Ingrid Vogler), Austria (Eva Bauer), England (Olivia Powis) and Nederlands (Albert Koedam) to give an overview of the situation in their country, their main goals and problems they are facing.

In a second part, members of social housing organism shared their experiences of European projects and explained to the audience how beneficial it could be, in term of management, of strategy, of exchange with other organisms, but also of intern and extern communication a,d of dynamism.

At least, a third Workshop more political give the audience the opportunity to debate with Karima Delli, Member of the European Parliament, Claire Roumet from CECODHAS and Marie-Lorraine Hibon, about the European funds and their future.

This meeting was a good opportunity to give informations about European opportunities to national and local actors, who are very concerned about the durability of ERDF, the way they can get it (without having to many administrative obstacles) and use it. It also spotlighted that cooperation between organisms is also a good way to lead projects.
