Hot Topics: Knowledge and Support
The rising of energy prices and the related growing problem of fuel poverty along with the opening of electricity and gas markets and the changing legal framework in the EU member states, as well as a shared commitment to combat climate change, represent new battlefields for those organisations committed in the protection and safeguard of tenants’ rights to live in comfortable dwellings.
Particularly, in the field of energy refurbishment, new skills and know-how are necessary to respond to this challenge; considering the potential of energy saving in the housing sector, energy efficiency is become an issue of increasing importance especially for Social Housing organisations.
The seminar “Training for energy efficiency - know-how from and for social housing organisations”, to be held on October the 1st, will review training approaches and solutions for social housing organisations along with methods for supporting and involving tenants in energy efficiency improvements. Furthermore, the meeting will represent a further occasion of best-practices sharing, thanks to the presentation of interesting case studies of successful state-of-the-art retro-fitting of social housing across Europe.
