The resource is also accessed through the main website and by following the 'InfoPack' link. You can view each section via the navigation menu on the left side. The information packs for architects, energy and structural designers include typical specifications for passive houses such as air tightness, U-values and thermal mass. Plus a checklist is provided for each professional. Advice for municipalities includes a discussion of how energy efficiency for an entire community can be achieved through master planning, plus details of the international standards that passive house products must meet. This tool will allow those involved in the development of a passive house, or community of passive houses, to proceed in an informed manner, with an understanding of the steps involved, the issues that must be accounted for and the typical standards and performance that must be aimed for.
