The intervention consists in:
IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY:
- Limitation of the energy demand: Placement of a double-skin to the outside with continuous isolation. Placement of double carpentry on the outer ply, waterproofing and insulation on the basement in contact with the ground and placement of isolation in the roof of the building.
With these actions the demand for thermal heating has been reduced in a 60%.
- Implementation of renewable energies and improvement of the efficiency of the installation system by replacing the individual boilers in each house by a system of production and accumulation centralized with a solar energy support.
With these actions is reduced the installed power, from an initial capacity of 644kW to an installed end power of 270kW.
Taking into account the results of the measures taken to limit demand + active measures implementation of renewable energy and improvement of the efficiency of the installations, a reduction of the level of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere is 62 tonnes per year an be reached.
IMPROVEMENTS OF THE WELLFARE:
- Improvements in lighting, ventilation and dimensions of the rooms.
IMPROVEMENTS IN ACCESSIBILITY:
- Improvements in new stairways and elevators and elimination of barriers in the surrondings.
IMPROVEMENTS IN INSTALLATIONS:
- Improvements of urban facilities and the renewal of draining systems, new installations for water supply, electricity, telecommunications, gas, heating and ACS.
Heating and Hot Water
Are installed in the boiler room three condensation gas boilers, high-performance, REMEHA FIFTH 85, with a performance of 109% on the basis of the gross calorific value.
Solar Thermal
It has a system of production of ACS through thermal solar energy, with solar heting capture through 13 solar collectors Isoterma Plus 2.205 m2 of absorption surface and storage deposit \'dhw\' lapesa Master Europe MV-1500- of 1.500 liters.
Ventilation
Ventilation is natural, through infiltration by windows and doors or through the opening controlled by the user of windows at certain times of day.
Thermal Insulation
The isolation is placed on the outer side of the enclosure of the building sot that, there are not heat bridges in the vertical enclosure of the building.
With the isolation of the facades the thermal heating demand of the building has been reduced around a 60% going from the previous 490kW to 207kW.
The replacement of the individual boilers for a central heating system and ACS with solar heating support has optimized the thermal load of the building, from 28 boilers of 23kW each one by a single boiler condensation of 270kW with a performance of the 108 %.
For the production of ACS has been defined a system of solar collection through the installation of 13 solar panels on the roof that ensures a saving of energy in the warming of the water of 88% in summer and 23% in winter.
Energy Assessment of the measures: estimating 8 hours per day of operation for 5 months and 0.185 kg CO2/kWh consumed gas that saves more than 62 tons of CO2 per year.
One of the difficulties is that the recycling construction and demolition waste is in fact dropped in landfills in a very low cost, wich results that the most of them have not prior treatment and often without complying with the requirements established by the legislation on landfill.
