Europe’s Public, Cooperative & Social housing organisations are managing and/or owning 12% of the European housing stock and are the only actors who have the financial base and the interest to bring existing homes towards nearly-Zero standards.

Any effective roadmap to nearly-Zero building renovation and new construction will require a combination of measures covering financial, technical, legal, organisational and training measures.

CECODHAS Housing Europe through the POWER HOUSE Nearly Zero Energy Challenge initiative brings together at European level the Housing Federations listed below and provides as such an established Platform for exchange of knowledge and best practices among project partners and beyond.
